Birthday Ministry
A ministry dedicated to recognizing each member and visitor for their birthday monthly with a token of love. They serve refreshments quarterly.
Dance Ministry
The Dance Ministry utilizes a form of the fine arts to honor God. We believe our praise dancing release the glory of God’s manifest presence. Our chief responsibility is to help the congregation and community sense the liberty of God’s presence as we present our praise offering in the spirit of excellence.

The officers of the Deacon Board are men that are zealous to guard the unity of the spirit within the church in the bonds of peace. They serve as council of advice and conference with the Pastor in all matters pertaining to the welfare and work of the church. With the Pastor, they are to consider and formulate plans for the constant effort and progress of the church in all things pertaining to the saving of souls, the developing of Christians, and the extension and growth of the Kingdom of God.
The ministry promotes harmony among and encourages support from the congregation. Spiritual growth of the overall membership is a priority. Sick and shut-in visitations, ongoing membership interaction, baptismal arrangements and communion service are some of the responsibilities conducted by the Deacons.
Deaconess Ministry
The Deaconess ministry is a ministry made up primarily of deacon’s wives and widows of deacons. This ministry is a support group for the pastor, deacons and church at large. The ministries major responsibility is to assist in the spiritual matters of the church .
The goal of the Deaconess ministry is to assist the pastor and deacons in stimulating and nurturing the spiritual growth of the congregation., according to Titus 2:3-5, this group of women have a great priority to guide, teach, and develop the younger women. The ministry also has a mandate to hold a high standard of spiritual life and living according to I Timothy 3:11.
Deaf Ministry
The Deaf Ministry interprets the church worship services for the hearing impaired and offers communicational sign language classes structured for interested members of the congregation and the community.
Drama Ministry
The Drama Ministry’s desire is to minister to God’s people by developing activities that highlight various styles of dialogue, skits, poems and plays.
Education Ministry
The ministry is based on 2 Tim 2:15, to establish the people of God in the Word of God…to keep you moving forward in your relationship we have prepared a wonderful spiritual variety…so come and be fed God’s Word!
Health Ministry
The Health Ministry provides information and resources that promote good health for church members and our community.
Hospitality Ministry
The Hospitality Ministry greets and creates an atmosphere of love and fellowship for those that enter with a friendly welcome.
Men On A Mission Ministry
The Men On A Mission Ministry is a committed group of men dedicated to the spiritual uplifting of the Dixon Grove Baptist Church congregation. Men who are willing servants and ambassadors that help the community in times of need. Men that embrace our Youth and are role models that set the example for the next generation following in our footsteps.
Mother's Ministry
The Mother’s Ministry is a group of women with knowledge and wisdom in both natural and spiritual matters. They are an example of faithful, devoted and committed Christians.
Music Ministry
The Music Ministry is responsible for providing praise and worship through music and song.

New Members Ministry
The New Members Ministry gives support to all new members who join our Church family. Under the direction of Rev W. R. Starkes classes are offered to familiarize new members with the history, structure, organization, responsibilities, and beliefs of the church.
Nurses Guild Ministry
The outreach goal of the Nurses Guild is to educate the church and community on health related issues. The Nurses Guild sponsors Health Fairs and distributes health information.
Pastor Support Ministry
The Pastor Support Ministry aids and assists the Pastor with needs as defined. In addition support is given through prayer.
Seniors Ministry
The Senior Ministry plans and organizes activities for the age 50+ members. The ministry mission includes teaching the word of God with a special bible study.
Usher's Ministry
The Church Ushers are doorkeepers in the house of God.
Women For Christ Ministry
Women for Christ Ministry consists of Christian women who support the church and the community through prayer and service.
Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry focuses on building Christian character and leadership. The Youth are taught valuable life lessons and take part in all aspects of the Church services.
